TOOLS Tools -> Penetrating Pulley - records: 3 The penetrating pulley is a steel disc marked on the circumference, a groove and small diamond teeth. By means of these two brilliant technical pulley, sliding on a suitable machine tool rack call which allows the regular and continuous lowering, simultaneously performs two functions: while penetrates into the groove in the stone drags the helical wire which causes the cutting of the block. Designed by Eng. Monticolo in 1897 made ??it possible to make cuts without having to dig up the 'trenches' ??side of the bank after making a single pilot hole necessary for the transition of the pulley support. The hole was easily achieved with the so-called "machine", a drilling machine capable of performing in the rock mass drilling large diameter up to several meters deep. The "Pulley Penetrating Monticolo", mounted in place of both uprights, thus allowing to realize also the so-called "blind cuts" ie directly in the cylinder bank virgin without having to resort to any excavation. |
