TOOLS Tools -> Chain saw - records: 5 The chain cutting machine is an electric motor consisting by a movable arm on the periphery of which slides a chain. The abrasive agent consists of cutting tools, arranged peripherally on the chain, these may be of tungsten carbide or polycrystalline diamond, with form and miscellaneous provisions according to the characteristics of the materials to be cut. The cut is achieved by penetrating into the rock and move the arm in a selected plane, the chain running, allows tools to abrade and remove the rock. The whole machine can slide on rails and, thanks to the mobility of the arm, allows cuts in all directions. The system, normally, requires the presence of water for cooling and the removal of debris produced. |
