Photos from the series: Pieve di San Vittore

Celebrated since 1029, has a structure with three naves concluded by one apse. The simple statement of the facade is opened by a portal with a round arch and a single window decorated with a stud. The apse, of more recent times, it has a nice coating cornice made of travertine and is terminated by a crown of arches. The bell tower, with pre-Romanesque elements in the base, was rebuilt in modern times at the top.
The type of processing blocks of travertine, some finished chisel and other, older, with the stakes or the polka, seems that the present church is the result of work carried out in very different times. It appears that in 1583 the church was completely plastered and has undergone restoration in 1700, in 1830, in 1898 and again in 1905 to prevent collapse due to unstable ground on which it was built.
